About Rust Player Stats
Every public Rust server, read every five minutes. Here is where the numbers come from and what they mean.
The in-game server browser tells you a name and a count. It does not tell you whether that count holds through the week or spikes for one night after a wipe. Rust Player Stats exists to show you the difference.
Every five minutes the site reads Steam's public Rust server list: server names, player counts, queues and the tags each server publishes. Where a server answers direct queries, the site also collects map seed, FPS and entity count. Not every server replies, so some show only what Steam publishes. From those two sources the site keeps population history, wipe times, ranks and settings for every public server, so you can pick a server on evidence rather than a first impression.
Rankings run on players over the past week, counted hour by hour. A server that holds a crowd all week ranks above one that fills for a single evening after a wipe. Lists are ordered by player count, never by payment. Start with the live player count, the ranked server list, servers just wiped or the wipe schedule.
Rust Player Stats is run independently by Rust players. It is not affiliated with Facepunch Studios and nothing here is endorsed by them. Server names, descriptions and images belong to the people who run those servers.
Everything on the site comes from what servers publish about themselves. If a detail about your server looks wrong, the fix is usually in the server's own settings, and the change shows here within about five minutes. If it still looks wrong, write to hello@rustplayerstats.world.
Questions
01Where does Rust Player Stats get its numbers?
From Steam's public Rust server list, read every five minutes, plus direct queries to servers that answer them. Servers that do not answer show only what Steam publishes. Nothing is estimated or filled in.
02Is Rust Player Stats connected to Facepunch?
No. The site is independent and run by Rust players, with no affiliation to Facepunch Studios and no endorsement from them. Server names, descriptions and images stay with the people who run those servers.
03How can I fix wrong information about my server?
Most wrong details come from the server's own settings, so correct them there. Changes appear on the site within about five minutes. If something still looks wrong after that, email hello@rustplayerstats.world.
