Rust servers for new players

Start with the wipe schedule and the group limit, then look at the name. A server that wiped recently gives you a fresh map; a solo or duo cap keeps clans out. The beginner label in a server name is a signal, not a guarantee, so read the server's rules on its own page before you join.

Either can work. Solo servers remove the clan problem entirely and let you learn at your own pace. Duo servers give you one partner without opening the door to large groups. Check the Group column; the smallest limit you can tolerate is usually the best teacher.

Most servers on this list do not state a rate, which usually means vanilla. A 2x server is a common compromise: it shortens the farming without the inflated loot of 5x or 10x. If a name claims 2x but the server is not in the Modded tab, be wary; Facepunch expects raised rates to be listed there.

Some do, some just use the word. This list is built from server names containing noob, beginner, newbie, new player, newcomer, learning or starter, and nothing else. Spawn protection, lower upkeep and no-kill-on-sight rules are common on these servers, but only the server's own page can tell you what is enforced.
